Students nowadays are quite intrusive and always ready with a “why” or “how” when being taught something new. It’s in the first few years of a person’s life that we learn new concepts quickly. Children can speak a new language more naturally than an adult. A child’s brain is like a sponge. It soaks up all the information it receives. Schools have a responsibility towards future leaders - not just teaching them how to read and write, but also educating them about environmental awareness.
Hence environmental awareness should be a part of the curriculum in all schools.
Catch Foundation conducts various Environment Awareness Activities in Schools, which encourage students to engage & protect the Environment and help communities become more environmentally aware.
Catch Foundation, in association with ONGC Chandkheda, had initiated a campaign Say No To Single-Use Plastic to bring awareness among School Children. Students & Teachers had brought all the plastic waste from their homes. Top 10 students & top 3 teachers who brought the maximum plastic waste got rewarded. Total 2436 kgs of Plastic Waste is collected till date.
Catch Foundation initiated Swachhta Rallies & Nukkad Nataks for creating awareness for Clean and Green Ahmedabad. Students & Teachers participate in Rallies and Nukkad Natak to spread the word.
Students are made aware of the importance of Environment and how planting trees play an essential role. They adopt trees on their Birthdays and other special days. Schools even invite Catch Foundation to plant trees on their premises.
Catch Foundation helps Schools to impart Environmental Education through various activities & campaigns.
